We are a proud sponsor of the 2012 BISSELL Pro Cycling Team. Below is a recap of their season:
The BISSELL Pro Cycling Team concluded its sixth season this past weekend with a win at the final UCI/NRC race of the season, the Buck’s County Classic. BISSELL finished the year with the most NRC stage wins of any continental team in the country.
Additionally, the team was one of four continental teams to receive race invites to the top three races in the US: Amgen Tour of California, Tour of Utah, and USA Pro Cycling Challenge. BISSELL raced aggressively in these three tours where the team was represented in 16 of the 18 main stage breakaways. BISSELL received a total of 8 jerseys at these races including the overall Most Aggressive jersey at the Amgen Tour of California.
While the season winds down for most, six riders will venture to New Zealand in November to compete in the Tour of Southland. Manager Glen Mitchell is building an exciting roster for 2013, and the team looks forward to the season ahead.
A note from the director:
The BISSELL Pro Cycling Team wishes to thank all of you for the tremendous support that you have provided and is excited for what’s to come.
The 2012 racing season for the Bissell pro cycling team surpassed my expectations in every way. The team was fantastic whether racing for NRC wins which totaled 7, more than any other domestic pro team. General classifications where we continued to podium and jerseys at the US grand tours like Tour of CA, Tour of UT and USA Pro Cycling Challenge in Colorado. I couldn’t be happier with how the team rode in 2012 and expect 2013 to be even better.”
